A Free Image From Phindy!

Hello all!

Phindy's Group on PCP has reached 900 so Phindy has given us a new cutie patootie image, "Petticoat Patty". You should go on over, join the group, get the freebie, and then enter the Phindy Challenge this week while you're at it!

I just had to make a card with her so I made this one that fits into 5 challenges. It would have fit into Phindy's Challenge too but I already entered that one 3 times!!

The challenges for this card are:

2.) Sketch Saturday: sketch

3.) A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge: "Animal Crackers"

4.) Papertake Weekly Challenge: "In Stitches"

5.) Pollycraft Monday Challenge: Pinkalicious

Wow, my third 3D Project in one weekend!!

Okay everyone, here is my final 3D Project for Phindy's Challenge Blog!! I didn't know that I had it in me but I kind of got on a roll!! This is another template from The Wild Flower Patch - isn't it cute? This project fit into quite a few challenges, here we go:

1.) Pollycraft Monday - no cards, glitter and lace - definately not a card, green glitter circles and paper lace trim at the bottom.

2.) Paper Cutz - Circles, stars, or squares - I added the glitter circles and the sentiment is in a circle.

3.) Phindy's Challenge Blog - 3D project - I'd say this is 3D!

4.) Allsorts - embossing - I went a little crazy embossing the cardstock (#5)

5.) Pile It On - Something Interesting with Cardstock - well, first I embossed it, ALL OVER, then I added the glitter circles, THEN I cut it and folded it into this cute little treat box!

6.) Paper Sundaes - Birthday - easy peasy - It's a birthay box!

7.) Crafty Sentiments - Birthday - see #6!

Another 3D Project

I have another project to share with you today. I liked the box that I made for my mother so much that I made a note card holder to go with it. I was thinking that it would be really cute to fill it with matching cards, however, her birthday is tomorrow so this just isn't going to happen. I will go through my stash and fill it with random cards later tonight.

This is the "it's a keeper" template from the Wild Flower Patch. I used a Phindy image (the same one from the box) and with the exception of the cardstock, the rest of the papers are scraps!

The project is for (in addition to my mom's birthday) Phindy's Challenge Blog - 3D!

A Birthday Present??

Hello! I'm pretty excited about this project.....I think it's going to be part of my mother's Birthday Present!! It's sneaking up fast - Monday is only 3 days away!!
Anyway, this project is for Phindy's Challenge Blog. This week's challenge is to make a 3D Project, it can be a card with 3D elements or a whole project. I decided to use a template that I got from the Wild Flower Patch - Uptown Takeout. I haven't used it before so I was excited about that. I'm also excited that, with the exception of 1 piece of cardstock, I used all scraps - again! If you saw my scrap bin, you wouldn't believe I've been using it!!
So, back to the project. I thought this would be perfect for my mother who likes to "tinker in her yard". It would be neat to put seed packets and roll up a pair of garden gloves or one of those mini flower kits, but I'll probably end up filling it with candy! While I was making this, I was thinking of other Phindy Images that you could use to make different "birthday boxes": "Sudsy Suzy" would be great with bath beads in the box, "Jacks" would be perfect with Jacks in it, "Hopscotch" would work perfectly with some sidewalk chalk.....okay, you get the idea, there are lots of options!
Well, I guess I've chatted enough about this project, can you tell I liked it? Hope you do too!

2.) Paper Cutz Challenge - Wedding - white, brown, pink and green only!

3.) Papertake Weekly - sketch

4.) Spoon Full of Sugar - Good Luck/Best Wishes

2 more cards and both using only scrap papers!!

Okay, I'm getting pretty into using my scrap paper so while I was on a roll, I made these 2 cards!
The first is for the MelJen's Challenge this week - use fibers, ribbon, or lace.

This next card is for The Cupcake Craft Challenge - Strawberries and Cream - isn't Phindy's image just perfect for it?

My 5th Phindy Card this week with a little Mojo Mixed in!

Well, being home with a sick little girl is giving me the chance to post this card earlier than I had expected....maybe if she naps long enough I will be able to "play" some more today!!

This card is for the Phindy's Challenge Blog Challenge: Summer Sunshine. I'm glad to see that there seem to be more entries coming in this week.....there's still time to enter, it doesn't close until Thursday night! I used the sketch from Mojo Monday, it was a fun one!

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, this is another one using only scraps......you'd think that by now I'd see at least a small dent in my scrap stash, sadly, you still can't tell I've touched it!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like......Christmas?

Hello there, I'm posting yet ANOTHER card tonight!! This one is for a few different challenges:

1.) Bah Humbug Challenge - A Child's Christmas

2.) Christmas Card Challenge - A Recipe Challenge: 3 DPs, 2 Buttons, 1 Ribbon

3.) Digital Tuesday Challenge - Christmas in June

One more card from last night!

Last night I decided to stay up to make just one more card but I just couldn't keep my eyes open long enough to post it! This one also uses all scrap paper...I could probably go 6 months using only scraps!

This card is for 3 different challenges:

1.) Stamptacular Sunday - "Cute as A Bug" - at first I was wondering if the snail would count as a bug but then I found this adorable ladybug paper that I forgot I had so I'm covered!

2.) Phindy's Challenge Blog - "Summer Sunshine" - I am loving "Speedster" from Phindy's new collection, Summer Cuties!

3.) Paper Sundaes - Pretty As A Princess - Okay, she's not a "real" princess but I bet she's someone's princess! And, it's a pretty girly card!

A new image (that I won!) and a bunch of scrap paper!

I love to use only scrap paper to make cards! Here is my latest, made with one of the Phindy Images, "Pretty Blooms", that I won from last week's challenge and only scrap paper!!

This card fits into 4 different challenges this week:
1.) Papertake Weekly - Ice Cream Flavors - Okay, not that I would want them together but this has a mint chocolate chip and black raspberry "flavor" going on - two of my favs. just not at the same time!
2.) Phindy's Challenge Blog - Summer Sunshine - don't all of you look just like this when you're gardening?

3.) Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - Blooms and Butterflies - Okay, to be honest, this was not intentional, I realized after the fact that this image had both flowers and butterflies in it, pretty cool!

4.) Friday Sketchers - Sketch 107

My Little PSA

Hello,
Okay, usually it would be a Public Service Announcement but today it is a Phindy Service Announcement!
I am very excited that I have won the Random Drawing for Phindy's for the third week in a row, however, I feel that this means that there are not enough other participants! Come on people, all you have to do is stop by Phindy's Challenge Blog and check out the challenges, they're easy. If you don't have a Phindy Image already you can get some freebies at either the challenge blog or join the Phindy's Group on Papercraft Planet - simple!
By the way, nobody asked me to do this announcement, I just really like Phindy's Images and think the Phindy Group on PCP is pretty great so why not support them all?
So, go on, check it out and start playing!
Thanks,
Katie

I was up too late last night!

Well, as tired as I was, I stayed up last night and made another card, it helps me unwind!

This card is for 2 challenges - Phindy's Challenge (Summer Sunshine) and Allsorts (a sketch). It took a few tries to get the layout to work but I used all scrap paper, which I have TONNNNNNS of! I think she came out pretty cute!

I can't believe I forgot....

I cannot believe that I forgot I needed a card for MY father for Father's Day! OOPS!!!

So, tonight, I whipped this up and it covers 3 different challenges too! Talk about multitasking!!!

1.) Stamptacular Sunday - Tribute to Fathers

2.) Mojo Monday - Sketch

3.) CAS-Tastic - Father's Day!

Friday, June 18, 2010

I didn't think I'd have time to craft this weekend!

Well, we're having a busy weekend in our town - this year celebrates the 75th anniversary of our Volunteer Fire Department and this weekend is the "carnival"/fireworks/parade weekend! I figured I'd be too tired and busy between that and Father's Day to do much.....but....

I made this card for 5 different challenges:

1.) Paper Sundaes - Sketch - I liked this simple sketch! It was great to work with!!

2.) Cupecake Craft Challenge - One for the Boys - isn't this little guy from Phindy's just adorable?

3.) Spoon Full of Sugar - Enjoying the Sunshine - well, first of all, this little guy is obviously playing outside (because no toddler would spit through a straw inside!!) and enjoying himself! Second, he is my sunshine, or so the song goes!

4.) Phindy's Challenge Blog - Summer Sunshine - see explaination for #3

5.) Pollycraft Monday - Lets Have a Sing Song - You are lucky that you can't hear me singing this song right now! It's not pretty!!!

My Phinal Phindy's Card for the week along with a Cute Card Thursday Sketch!

Hello All!

I have my 5th and final card for Phindy's Challenge Blog this week! Since I have won 2 weeks in a row, I figure I should at least enter as many times as I can to win this week, right?

For this one, I used the sketch from Cute Card Thursday's Challenge.

Hope you like her!

A Phourth for Phindy's and Sketch Saturday!

Hello again!

Well, I won last week's Phindy's Challenge so I got to go shopping this afternoon! WOO HOO!!!

I bought this adorable image with my gift certificate (along with 2 others!) and just had to color her. I don't know why or how she (and the card) became so purple! I decided that I would only use scrap papers so maybe that's how it happened! Anyway...this card is for Phindy's Challenge - one for the girls - and this week's Sketch Saturday sketch.

Okay, now it's time for bed, hope everyone has a good Tuesday tomorrow!

I had a busy day yesterday!

I made 3 more cards yesterday and didn't get a chance to post any of them! Here they go:

This first one is for 3 different challenges: (MelJen's Image)

1.) MelJen's - Sparkle, Glitter, Bling

2.) Sentimental Sundays - Summertime - I used a quote that I found "Summertime an' the livin' is easy." - Ira Gershwin

3.) Corrosive - Sketch

The second is for 4 challenges: (Phindy's Image)

1.) Winter Wonderland - Traditional Christmas Flowers - I actually had this poinsettia paper in my scraps! Perfect fit!!

2.) Bah Humbug - Anything Goes

3.) Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club - Sketch

4.) Christmas Card Challenge - use scraps - this was easy, I have TONS!

The third is for 2 challenges: (Phindy's Image)

1.) Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Sketch

Joe's Father's Day Card!

Good morning everyone!

I made this card last night for Joe....Thanks to The Paper Cutz Challenge, I actually have it done a whole week in advance!

I had thought this card up weeks ago when I was shopping at Phindy's Place. Joe is a contractor so these images fit perfectly. He has an 8 year old daughter and our 3 year old daughter. On the inside I added our soon to be son (okay, he's not going to be that big for a while but I had to include him even though he won't be born until August!!).

One of the things that I love so much about digis is that you can flip them and resize them (so Alex could be smaller than Trinity, etc.)! It's great!!

Okay, enough blabbering....here's the card!

2 cards and a whole bunch of challenges!

Hello and happy (almost) weekend!

My first card tonight is for 5 different challenges:

1.) Spoon Full of Sugar - Floral Delights

4.) Phindy's Place Challenge Blog - "One for the Girls" - this image was a freebie on Phindy's Group on PCP but now it is also available on her challenge blog, go on over and check it out!

5.) Cute Card Thursday - Anything But Square - Okay, this was easy for me since I generally don't make square cards but hey, a rectangle is not a square!

For my second card tonight, I only have 2 challenges, I know, can you believe it?

1.) Mojo Monday - Sketch

2.) Wild Flower Wednesday Challenge - circles, stripes and stitches - this turned out to be a little bit tricky for me because I forgot the stitches until the last minute! OOPS! I did manage to get them in there though!

Final Card For Phindy's This Week and Cute Card Thursday!

Well, I'm officially done with Phindy's Challenge (Happy Birthday) this week since this is my 5th card!! And to think, it's only Monday!!! I combine this one with Cute Card Thursday's Challenge - Black, Blue, and Orange. I did not realize that this makes the card look like a Mets card until my boyfriend pointed it out! Oh well, I was just following the challenges!

#4 for Phindy's!

Well, I made a 4th card for Phindy's Challenge - Happy Birthday! I actually made this as a challenge to myself, I used the same papers as I did for the last card and wanted to see what I could do differently with them, this seems different to me!

Another for Phindy and Sketch Saturday!

Hello again!! I have decided that housework really can wait but these cards cannot!

I bought new papers today so of course, I had to play, play, play!

This card is for Phindy's Challenge - Happy Birthday and Sketch Saturday's Sketch.

Hope you like it!

A different project and a few challenges!

Hello! Here is a box instead of a card! Something a little different all thanks to The Wild Flower Patch challenge this week - Box It Up!. I got the template for this for FREE right on their challenge blog! Check it out!! The image is also from the Wild Flower Patch (one that I won!)....

I found out about the Allsorts Challenge Blog from my friend Mary, I would have liked to have used the same image that she did for this challenge but that seemed like being a copy cat and as much as she likes cats, I wasn't sure she'd like that, soooooooooooo.....instead I just used the colors for their Strawberries and Cream Challenge this week!

Cupcake Craft's challenge is called "Dazzle Us!" this week. Pollycraft Monday's Challenge is "Ribbon and Bling". These were pretty similar so I covered both of those basically the same way. I had seen a tutorial someplace about using one of those plastic circles that people cover with yarn (okay, really bad description) to use as a template for circle stitching, etc. Well, when I was at JoAnn's today, I happened to see one and picked it up. That's how I made my round glitter dots. My other bling is actually a pair of earrings that I used as the center for 2 of the flowers. I stole this idea from my mother, my brother needed a birthday present for a girl when he was in 7th grade or so, she was one of those girls who had EVERYTHING, well, my mom got her a few flowers and put a pair of earrings through the leaf of one of the flowers, it was pretty cool and a big hit (and not too expensive either). I thought this would be a cute idea for a girl's birthday present, put a little gift inside and with the earrings added it makes a pretty cool present. You just have to make sure the box doesn't get thrown away with the earrings still in it!

Wow, I guess I got rambling a little bit! Hope you like this fun little project!!

5 Challenges in one Card!

Here's one for 5 different challenges! I just love combining them all!!!

1.) Phindy's Challenge Blog - Happy Birthday - Pretty much self explainatory!

2.) Digital Tuesday - Lets Get Trendy! - I have noticed that there is a trend with images, EVERYONE is now releasing giraffe images (I personally LOVE Phindy's giraffe).

3.) Sentimental Sundays - New Or Neglected Stash - I have had this paper pack for over 2 years now and I don't exactly love it but the price was right ($1 for a whole package!!)....anyway, it's been rather neglected at the bottom of my paper pile so I figured this was the perfect time to dig it out!

4.) Corrosive - Die Cuts - I used a punch for the sentiment, not very creative I know but it was effective!

5.) Friday Sketchers - Sketch # 105

3 challenges and a little lecture!

Okay people, I know that some of you know about Phindy's Challenge Blog and have yet to enter the challenges. You should really get over there and get entered! Phindy has great images and GREAT prizes for the 6 winners every week! Last week I won twice!! I got a gift voucher for $8 AND a 5% off coupon! Plus, you can enter up to 5 times each week....so get over there and get crafting!!!

Now that the lecture is over, this card is for 3 different challenges:

2.) Dare You 2 Digi Stamp - Red, White & Blue

3.) Phindy's Challenge Blog - Birthday Cards

I should be sleeping!

Well, since I have to work approximately 10 hours tomorrow, I SHOULD be sleeping right now! However, I had an idea for this card so I just HAD to stay up for a few more minutes!!

Okay, this card is made with a template that I found someplace (can't remember where). It was a free template developed and offered by Cathy Edgar. Sorry that I can't remember where I found it!

I made this cute little card for 3 challenges:

1.) Susie & Vikki's Christmas Challenge - Baby's First Christmas!

2.) CAS-Tastic! Challenge - focus on a sentiment

3.) ABC Christmas Challenge - L is for Lights

Thursday, June 3, 2010

I got to play again tonight!!

It feels like I have had no time at all to play with cards! Finally, I got a chance tonight!

I made this card for 3 different challenges:

1.) Phindy's Challenge Blog - Brads or Buttons! - these brads are really holding my image on, the glue just didn't want to cooperate tonight!

2.) Sentimental Sundays - Thankful - I know at least one person is getting a gift for my daughter as well as the baby when he is born so why not combine their thank yous? I figure I'll have enough going on without sending multiple thank yous to the same person!

3.) Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Sketch #29

Tuesday, June 1, 2010

Oh Sunny Day!

Hello! Today has been anything but sunny here but rain is not what the challenges are calling for! This card covers 3 challenges:

1.) Mos Digital Pencil Challenge: Celebrate Babies!

2.) Papertake Weekly: Fun! Fun! Fun!

3.) Cupcake Craft: Summer Delights!

My kiddies loved spending the weekend in the kiddie pool and running under the sprinkler, this little guy seems to be enjoying himself too! As the ribbon says "fun in the sun" is what summer is all about!!
