It's Almost September!

Can you believe the summer is almost over and it's time to go back to school? Part of me is thrilled about this because I LOVE Fall! Part of me is sad because I do NOT LOVE Winter!

For this card, I used a cute little freebie image from MelJens Designs and paper pieced the whole thing. I think it looks pretty cute!

"Kickin' It For Michelle" Card Drive

I have a special card to post this morning, it's for Michelle Oatman from the Spoon Full Of Sugar DT. She had an accident recently and needs some cheering up. Sooooooo, there is a challenge/card drive over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar for her. The challenge is simply to make a card and send it to Michelle. There are links to freebies that you can use. This adorable little guy is a freebie from MelJen's Designs. There are also tons of generous prizes that different companies have donated! So, by making one card, I have done something nice to hopefully brighten Michelle's day AND got entered to win tons of prizes! As my grandmother would have said "it's your good deed for the day"!

This card is also for the Papertake Weekly Challenge and follows their sketch.

MelJen Designs and Pile It On!

I won this adorable little fishy from MelJen's Challenge last week!!!! WOOHOO!!! So, I decided to use it this week for MelJen's Challenge to make a shaped card! Pile It On!'s challenge this week is to use "boyish colors". I decided that blue, orange, and green are pretty boyish so that seemed to fit together nicely.

I didn't put a sentiment on this one because I thought it could be used as a just because, a get well, a birthday, well, anything! So, I left my options open on that one!!!

2 Cards In One Post!

I made two different cards in the last two days and only have the ambition to make one post!

This first card is for Pixie Dust Studio's Challenge called "Tag You're It!". You had to include a tag on your card. The sentiment says "Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain"...here she is:

The second card is for MelJen's Challenge: "For The Little Ones". It's a baby card. The sentiment says "Welcome to the new King of Your Jungle!". I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday's Challenge #100 for this card as well!

I found something new!!

I'm pretty excited! While I was looking around on the Paper Craft Planet, I found a group for Meljen's Designs. They had some adorable free digis and some exciting news....they have a brand new challenge blog and design team! I got to join in on their blog hop and got a bunch of freebies along the way!!!

The first challenge for Meljen's Designs Design Team and Challenge blog was for "Anything"! That was pretty simple, especially since I got a bunch of free images to play with!!

I added two more challenges to the mix. Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #106 is called "So Egg-citing". We had to make an Easter card or a card with an egg shape or oval on it. The sentiment and image are both in ovals, so there you go! Finally, I used the sketch for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #97. Hope you enjoy the card....I made it a "welcome baby" card for my soon to be born "brother in law"!
